US citizens or permanent residents aged 62 or older are eligible for a Senior Pass, which costs $80 for lifetime validity or $20 for one year. They can be purchased in person at participating federal sites or online through the USGS store. The pass grants access to national parks and other recreation sites managed by six federal agencies. Benefits include covering entrance fees and offering discounts on certain recreation fees. If lost or stolen, the pass cannot be replaced. Older versions of the pass, such as the Golden Age Passport, are still valid and can be exchanged for a new Senior Lifetime Pass for free. |
